Gangliosides are complex glycosphingolipids that can act as interacting partners of various membrane proteins. Those include neuroplastin and different ion transporters such as plasma membrane calcium ATPase (PMCA). This lecture covers state- of-the-art in research focused on the interactions between gangliosides and selected membrane proteins.
