Open-source application for determination of proof strength based on the plastic extension method

Modern era brought forward a need for automatization of standard engineering routines, still the process of determining the proof stress is mostly done manually. While norms dictate the testing procedure and relevant values, data evaluation process is left for the user to define which is mostly a non-documented part of analysis. In this paper we will demonstrate an open-source application approach for evaluating tensile test data with a goal of acquiring proof stress. In principle, the process itself is a fitting of an optimal line through experimental data points with added complexity of running autonomously.
