Quality of digital maturity process in organizations
The competitiveness and related maturity of an organization today are measured through digital maturity. The process of digital business transformation is indispensable if companies strive for sustainable business and added value, which brings with it long-term competitiveness. Radical changes in business processes and business models are a prerequisite for creating and increasing added value through the acceptance, integration, and implementation of new technologies in existing business processes. Optimization of business processes conditioned by the digital transformation of business leads to achieving the highest levels of digital maturity, which becomes the key and prerequisite for creating digital leadership in the market measured by the level of digital maturity. Digital business transformation is a very complex process that includes the development of digital strategy, management of digital activities, and the promotion of operational excellence in their digital implementation. This paper aims to investigate the phenomenon of digital maturity of organizations related to the process of digital business transformation and conditioned by the quality of the implementation process and the quality of applicable models of digital maturity. Through the paper, research has been conducted on the research done so far regarding digital maturity and digital maturity models. A research review was undertaken to provide an overview of the related area of digital maturity and digital maturity models. The terms ("digital maturity of organizations") and ("digital maturity models”) were used to collect data. The papers were reviewed in order to investigate whether the digital maturity of the organization is understood as one of the key factors in positioning on the market and achieving competitive advantage. Results indicate growing trend in research area from 2018. indicating the importance of determining the digital maturity of organizations in order to achieve competitive advantage. The results indicate a growing trend of the researched topic but still insufficiently researched area that requires further investigation.
