Analysis of the urban tourism development in Budapest (Hungary)

In this paper, an analysis of the development of urban tourism in Budapest is performed. As one of the economically very well-developed European capitals, Budapest is also an attractive tourist destination with exceptional qualities in terms of tourist resources at its disposal. Anthropogenic attractions, rich cultural heritage, development of air traffic and a large number of already developed tourist products are important factors for the successful urban tourism development in Budapest. Based on the analysis of existing potentials, the authors defined guidelines for improving the position of Budapest as a destination for urban tourism.
