Sažetak
The pandemic caused by the SARS-Cov-2 virus, which causes the COVID-19 disease, has paralysed everyday life of the majority of the global population. The decline in economic activity varied across industries but it has mostly affected the industries that rely on personal interactions or travel, such as tourism. The aim of this study is to determine the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the behaviour of tourists and to identify the changes in their behaviour which occurred with respect to their intention to travel. For this purpose, the theory of planned behaviour (TPB) was used to examine the effect of factors: COVID-19 perceived risk, subjective norms and perceived behavioural control, i.e. provide a better understanding of the above factors on the intention to travel during the COVID-19 pandemic. The study also analysed the role of passenger vaccination status (yes / no) as a moderator of the relationship between the factors associated with the intention to travel during the COVID-19 pandemic and the very intention to travel during the COVID-19 pandemic. The model was tested using logistic regression model, considering multiple symptoms. The empirical research included a representative sample of 412 respondents from the Republic of Croatia in the period between July 2021 and August 2021. The results of the research can contribute to the development of security measures in creating tourism services and designing effective actions for the restoration of tourism in the post-crisis recovery process from the COVID-19 pandemic. The final section of the paper describes the key findings and practical implications and presents future research guidelines based on the findings and limitations of this research.
