Traditional rainwater harvesting in Dalmatia (Croatia): case study from Zabiokovlje

Rainwater harvesting has been a long-standing tradition in Dalmatia (a region in southern Croatia). However, with the construction of water supply systems in the past few decades, the role of rainwater has almost been forgotten. In many places, rainwater collection facilities that have been built, are generally in relatively poor condition today. In this work, several examples from the Dalmatian hinterland, i.e., Zabiokovlje, were examined.
