2. Christian responses to the manifestations of local and imperial power in the legends of Pannonian and Praevalitan martyrs: some examples

This presentation is framed in a very precise historical context in order to conceive and develop a new viewpoint on key issues and questions related to practices found in the legends of Pannonian and Praevalitan martyrs that indicate a number of varied realistic elements that can be historically established. The work presentation aims to show in what way and what extend Christians tolerated the manifestation of imperial and local power and when and in what ways they refused to respect them.
