Perspectives of higher education in the Werstern Balkan countries in the light of Europe 2020 Strategy
The dynamic changing environment in the context of labour requirements, needs changes firstly at the policy level to respond the needs of educational and preration lever of individuals. For smooth transition from university to labour market, good institutional and social policies have to be in place. In this context, higher education institutions are main contributors on facilitating this transition and respond to the new challenges. The study analyzes perspectives of higher education in Western Balkan countries and implementation of Europe 2020 stategy with focus on sustainable, smart and inclusive growth. Current state of issues related to higher education providers ; development of study programs - shortage and surpluses and its concofmity to he labour market needs, analysis of skills mismatch: vertical and horizontal are subject of this study. Furthermore, study analyze investments on Reseach and Development - R&D by Western Balkan countries ; employment based on the educational structure and youth employment. Therefore, given evidence show clear picture of the Western Balkan systems and prospect toward reaching Europe 2020 strategy.
