The Situation of World Philosophy

What appears in academic vanity is obscured by accusations of outdatedness in a show trial against any possibility that would undermine the sense of department commodity with which the social responsibility of philosophers has long since turned into mere fiction. Instead of a true space of freedom with which the philosopher would readily question, above all, his own philosophy, an insensitivity arises to all that the spirit of the age delivers through challenges.
