Narrative and Representational Strategies of Dystopian Literature and Films
The paper focuses on the comparison of typical narrative and representational strategies of literary and filmic dystopias. By analysing a few paradigmatic dystopian novels and by comparing them with films that were made either as their adaptations or inspired by them, the paper sets out to define the characteristics and strategies which they both have in common, as well as to point out those which are medium specific. In conclusion, the paper aims to establish whether/ or how / the medium specific representational strategies are able to change the meaning of the story narrated.
