Primjena akustičke analize u medicini vokalnih umjetnosti
Acoustic analysis of voice has large importance in vocal arts medicine investigations as it enables quantification of vocal parameters. Because of fast receiving of information valuable in evaluation and rehabilitation of voice and speech functions, it first came alive in clinical practice and only lately in the area of vocal pedagogic work. Besides numerous advantages, such as quick and uninvasive application, minimal collaboration of the client, possibility of analysis at any given time because voice samples can be stored indefinitely, then early discovery of vocal pathology, and finally commercial availability, the main reason of its wider appliance is its objectivity in evaluation of voice quality. This article gives a preview of some acoustic voice parameters of different voice samples (sustained phonation, educated and uneducated vibrato, ascending and descending glissando) of both healthy and disordered voices, made by a narrow-band spectrographic analysis. It gave valuable information on voice quality and some technical skills related to singing (vibrato, glissando). It is shown how helpful acoustic analysis can be in understanding the complexity of human voice phenomenon, not only for "pure" scientific purposes, but moreover for everyday life practice, i.e. vocal pedagogy.
