Rational parameters of technology for producing steel with different carbon content in the converter
The obtained results of an experimental study of the features of the melting of two grades of steel, containing, respectively, 0, 015 and 0, 025 % carbon confi rm: the rationality of the composition of cast iron for silicon and sulfur, which ensured a reduction in the amount of lump lime in the melting of low-carbon steel by 19, 7 %, medium-carbon - by 12.5% ; the possibility of obtaining high degrees of desulfurization of steel in the converter 62 % when smelting low-carbon and 58, 2 mediumcarbon steel ; the prospects of using experimental slag-forming mixtures based on technogenic waste of various origins with the given: basicity, CaO: SiO2: Al2O3 ratio, redox potential and purpose.
