Sažetak
From an enterprise point of view global market of these days can be characterized as highly demanding and competitive, and at the same time frequently changeable. To survive on such market, enterprise needs to satisfy customers regarding the quality, price and delivery time. A customer demands a high quality product or service that will satisfy all of his/her needs in all using conditions. By the optimal implementation of quality in a product during the design stage, not only the quality advantage regarding the competition but also the delivery time reduction could be achieved. To develop optimal product regarding the quality, already in the early stages of design process customers requirements and wishes need to be identified. Method that is based on this premise is Quality Function Deployment (QFD) method. The method approaches a product quality in a systematic and logic way. It ensures that so called "Voice of the Customer" gets translated through all product design stages: from conceptual design of the product to production stage. The most beneficial effect of the method is that this input data through different product life stages is transformed in a more specific form appropriate for that particular stage. Second benefit of the method is its multifunctional team work nature. Because of this multifunctional team work, creativity and consensus during the decision making is ensured. By QFD method application it is assured that "Voice of the Customer" will be translated through all three decision making levels: strategic (defining aims for a long run), tactical (defining processes that will realize those aims) and operative (realization of defined processes).
