Cu-Al-Sn system low-alloyed alloys properties investigation
The best of investigated alloys within Sn and Al variation indicated ranges has ultimate tensile strength Rm = 220 ... 300 MPa, tensile yield strength Rv0, 2 = 115 ... 130 MPa, specifi c elongation A5 = 20 ... 30 %, impact toughness KCU = 50 ... 120 J/cm2 and hardness HB = 770 ... 830 MPa. Cast alloy free linear shrinkage value is 1, 31 ... 1, 49 %, absolutely diffi cult linear shrinkage is 0, 39 ... 0, 43 %. Alloy transition temperature from ductile to elastic state during cooling in casting mold is 255 ... 305 °С. It has been found that for developed alloy with aluminum and tin content increasing, E5, KCU and UTS values decrease. Rv0, 2 value increases with content of both Al and Sn in bronze increasing.
