IFFERENCES IN SPIROMETERY PARAMETERS BEFORE AND AFTER TRAINING IN „GPS CHALLENGE“

Th e fi rst ideas for windsurfi ng have occurred as far back as 1935 years in California (Winner, 1995). Today surfi ng has developed into a prestigious sport and 1984. becomed Olympic sport (Engels, 1983). Today it is a sport that involves not only physical skills but also very sophisticated equipment that enables sailors to perform various stunts and achieve enviable speed on the water. Th ere are many racing disciplines such as(Allen GD: 1989): free style, speed and jumping disciplines (Cortell-Tormo, 2010). GPS challenge is the speed events. Sailors are sailing at a speed of about 50 km / h. and it require high aerobic endurance. Aerobic capacity is functional ability, which complements the work of the heart, lungs and transfer oxygen to the cells. Ventilation of the lungs allows for the exchange of gases between the external environment (atmosphere) and alveolar spaces of the lungs, and vice versa. Sport has a positive impact on the ventilation value and changes are most pronounced during childhood and adolescence (Dal Monte, 1983). Training (Cuurteix, 1997 ; Mehrotra, 1997), a training stimulus (Jeliči, 2000) and time spent in the training process (oak ; 2008) aff ect the development of static and dynamic lung volumes and capacities. Th ere is an increasing interest coaches and doctors for bronhosazam ( EIB ) ( Storms, 2003). It occurs usually after intense physical activity ( Rundell, 2003). Typical symptoms of EIB are cough, chest tightnes during physical activity ( Sinha, 2003 ; Hermansen, 2004). Th e appearance of the EIB occurs in 90 % of patients suff ering from asthma ( Rupp, 1996). On the other hand disorder at the level of the airway is common in athletes, although its prevalence is not known. When basketball is 12% (Weiler, 1986), 26 % in runners ( Helenius, 2000), 35 % with the slider, to 55 % in cross-country skiing ( Larsson, 1993). We see that the EIB is more common in a population of athletes than is clinically recognized. In relation to professional athletes, amateur athletes are at greater risk of disorders in the airways of the total population (Kippelen, 2004). Bronchospasm may adversely aff ect the level of physical ability, and thus the quality of life. Th e aim of the research is to determine whether discipline “GPS challenge“, can cause signifi cant changes in spirometry, which would be positive for the occurrence brohospazma in making (EIB). Further, determine the percentage of surfers who are suff ering from the above.
