Effects of temperature aging in abrasive resistance of maraging steel
Superior properties, such as: high yielding strength, high flow limit, harden ability, weld ability, easy heat treatment without deformations, have led to a widespread application of MARAGING steels not only in manufacture of diverse construction components but also in manufacture of molds (i.e. for processing of polymers, for pressure casting, etc.). The required operational properties of these steels are obtained by precipitating solidification. This paper presents effects of temperature aging in abrasive resistance of MARAGING steel 18 9 5. The differences to abrasive wear resistance of MARAGING steel have been annealed and tempered quantified with different parameters aged conditions.
