Procedural safeguards of accused or suspected children: improving the implementation of the right to individual assessment IA-CHILD JUSTICE PROGRAMME, JUST-AG-2017/JUST-JACC-AG-2017 NATIONAL REPORT CROATIA

Report describes the key legal acts that form the framework of the juvenile justice system in Croatia. It also describes the criminal proceedings towards juvenile offenders, as well as the legal elements and provisions for conducting an individual assessment. In addition to the legal basis, the theoretical and scientific foundations regarding individual assessment are presented. Furthermore, the main difficulties as well as examples of good practice in the implementation of individual assessment in Croatia, obtained through research by project team members from Croatia, are presented.
