Is being humble and seeing the partner as humble important for relationship quality? A dyadic study

The study aim was to investigate the effect of self-reported humility and perceived partner humility on relationship quality of both men and women on 641 Croatian dating couples using the APIM framework. For both men and women, being more humble and perceiving one’s partner as more humble was associated with better relationship quality. Additionally, men’s better relationship quality was associated with their partners’ perception of them as being more humble. Both partners’ self-reported humility did not have an effect on one’s own relationship quality.
