Perceived partner humility and responsiveness mediating attachment and relationship quality association – a dyadic approach
We aimed to investigate the mediating role of perceived partner humility and perceived partner responsiveness on the association between attachment dimensions and relationship quality on 641 Croatian dating couples using the APIMeM framework. Our results confirm previous findings showing a mediating role of perceived partner responsiveness on the actor effect but not on the partner effect of attachment dimensions on relationship quality. Perceived partner humility plays a mediating role in both the actor and the partner effects of attachment anxiety and relationship quality. It is, however, only partly relevant to the association between attachment avoidance and relationship quality.
