Influence of surface roughness on corrosion behaviour of Titanium alloy
Ultrashort pulsed lasers due to their precise processing can create complex shapes and geometries on the metal surface without subsequent mechanical or chemical processing. In this study, the influence of modified Ti6Al4V surface after femtosecond laser process on behavior of electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) was examined. Straight lines are formed on the surface of the metal Ti-6Al-4V. The geometries were obtained by changing the laser beam velocity parameters by one-layer and two-layer passes. Investigations of electrochemical impedance spectroscopy suggest that the passivation behavior of the femtosecond laser-treated Ti6Al4V alloy was influenced by an increase in surface roughness.The electrochemical behaviors of the untextured and textured specimens were examined in Ringer solution
