Characterization of Alumina Granules Obtained by Spray Drying Process

The aim of this study is analysis of alumina (Al2O3) granules obtained by spray drying process. The particle size distribution of the spray-dried alumina granules was determined by sieve analysis according to the ISO 3310-1 standard. The morphology of the A2O3 granules was characterized by scanning electron microscope (SEM). Phase composition was studied by X-ray diffraction analysis. Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) analysis were used to investigate the thermal behavior of the A2O3 granules during the thermal treatment.
