Zooplankton module in ecological modeling: the Zooplankton dynamics response to warming climate and ambient nutrient levels in the Mediterranean and temperate zone
Zooplankton is assessed as an essential part of the simulation in ecological model. To quantify the dynamic effects on zooplankton water bodies were distinguished by lake size and eutrophication status in temperate and Mediterranean climates. The results of zooplankton dynamics indicated that the sensitivity to environmental changes is closely related to lake sizes. As a result of multiple nutrient loading scenarios, the responses of annual zooplankton concentrations were found to be more sensitive to the increase of organic nitrogen and the decrease of inorganic phosphorus. Finally, lake size characteristics should be considered through the water management and restoration inclusively biological and abiotic complex environmental interplays.
