The Role of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis in Maintenance Strategy
Risk management is important management tool for analyzing and reducing production disturbances such as machine breakdowns, workers injuries and other factors which affect productivity and effectiveness of production processes. Maintenance is important function in managing production systems. Many different maintenance strategies have been developed in last few decades. Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) analysis is a structured maintenance technology to optimize maintenance strategy for each component of the system. In this paper Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), as a important step for RCM will be discussed.
