Process Model for Accessible Website User Evaluation

Despite number of web accessibility guidelines, plugins and tools, different websites analysis indicate that many accessibility issues are not adequately addressed nor the evaluation of its content and functionality hasn't been adequately performed with users which are, in this case, heterogeneous group of people whose needs and preferences are often very different and sometime mutually contradictory. User evaluation is crucial step for final website accessibility achievement. The paper describes process used for evaluation of accessible web-site prototype with content related to the telecom operators offers for youth, seniors and persons with disabilities. Hence, the website prototype is an example of accessibility implementation in terms of universal design. The evaluation process encompasses functional testing and involves all user representatives. According to the obtained results, the developed prototype is an example of good practice that can be applied for web accessibility improvement of existing or new web-sites, and process described in this paper is a model how to perform user evaluation.
