Maximum heat flow rate analysis of counterfloe heat exchanger network

In this paper overall algorithm of analytical calculation of achieved maximum heat flow rate in counter heat flow heat exchanger as a part of heat exchanger network is presented. The algorithm is given in dimensionless form, so those variables which arise from the real work regime of heat exchanger network appear as dimensionless variables. This maximum heat flow rate is also a local extremum and its value is higher than realised heat flow rate for each individual heat exchanger. The essence of the problem comes down ti finding the optimzm value of NTU in order to satisfy the condition of maximum heat flow rate as a local extremum of heat exchanger in a heat exchanger network. All results of the calculation are interpreted and presented in the corresponding diagrams.
