Borderless State, under Italian Control and German Dictate. Foreign policies of the Independent State of Croatia

Foreign policy of the Independent State of Croatia was marked by relations with Italy and germany, two dominant partners in the Axis Alliance. Italian danger was at first deemed greater and the regime tried to create a better relations with Germany on order to contain Italians, but with time, especially after italian surrender in 1943, it was obvious taht the Axis will lose the war and this alliance was detrimental for the possibility of survival of the Independent State of Croatia.
