Policing a Genocide – A case study of cooperation and conflict between political and municipal police force in the Independent State of Croatia (1941-1942)

Holocaust in Varaždin was not perpetrated exclusively by the political Ustaša police, but rather in cooperation with the pre-existing municipal police forces, who put aside their professionality and took part in round-ups, guarding and organisation of deportations and plunder of jewish propery in the area.
