Sažetak
Tertiary level lecturers use various types of activities to engage students in learning LSP. A commonly used activity in the LSP classroom is group work, which encompasses a range of tasks and assignments assigned to students by the LSP practitioner. Not only do students develop teamwork skills and learn to appreciate the value of working collaboratively, but they also build future professional skills. This paper will explore various aspects of group work, i.e. preparing, planning, working in a group and monitoring progress. It will also present activities which could be used in LSP courses at university to develop students’ speaking, reading, listening and writing skills. Finally, the paper will address specific challenges that group work presents to both students and LSP practitioners.
