Ornamentika egzine polena autohtonih šljiva Bosne

Pollen grain morphology and exine ornamentation were studied by scanning electron microscopy in 13 Bosnian varieties and in Pozegaca and Stanley during 1984. The number of tectate perforations/50 &micro ; m2 of exine differed between varieties (ranging from 16.4 in Banjalucka Bjelica to 75.4 in Miskovacka), as did the number of meshes of the reticular ornamentation (from 16.4 in Miskovacka to 30.4 in Havaca). The varieties were classed in different groups according to the number of meshes and tectate perforations. There was no association between exine traits and the main phenotypic characters of the varieties, suggesting that for varietal identification and classification all morphological traits should be taken into account.
