Sažetak
In modern ICs the influence of the interconnect must be considered, especially interconnect capacitance. The paper describes FastCap, the widely used capacitance extraction program. Physical basics are presented, along with the speed improvements over the conventional algorithms. Three additional methods which modify FastCap algorithm are presented in section IV. These methods promise faster extraction with slightly smaller accuracy.
