On a Common Road: Croatian-Hungarian Relations in the Middle Ages

The chapter presents Croatian-Hungarian relations from the arrival of the Magyars to the Carpathian Basin at the end of the ninth century to the battle of Mohač and the coming of the Habsburgs on the throne of Hungary-Croatia. Particular attention is awarded to the beginning of the Hungarian-Croatian composite state at the turn of the eleventh to the twelfth century, and afterwards different aspects of common life during the period under research have been discussed.
