Trade Policies in South-Eastern Countries in the Framework of EU Accession

Trade policies in Southeastern European countries vary considerably, but they all made progress in implementation of more liberal trade regimes than they were a few years ago. However, there still exist different levels of access for different trading partners and some non-tariff measures. There have been signed a number of bilateral trade agreements among SEE countries granting mutual concessions of Most Favoured Nation (MFN) treatment and Free Trade Agreements, but none of these agreements have been multilateralised yet. Although formal conditions probably are to be improved in near future, it is hardly to believe that the intra-regional trade would increase considerably.
