The influence of information and communication technology in teaching on motivation to learn

Information and communication technology has become an integral part of the education system and the educational process. Its application as well as IT equipment of the educational institution (possibility of access to computers and the Internet) influence the conditions of acquiring new knowledge and learning, which become an integral part of the added value in the provision of educational services, which through marketing conception and orientation result in superior service which the institution positions and differentiates in competitive environment. The choice of teaching method influences the motivation to learn. Interactive and experiential teaching with the use of information and communication technology influences the level of motivation for learning and achievement. Achievement-oriented motivation depends on successful time management and learning organization, focuses on the personal level of achievement, tasks are personal challenges, leads to a strategic approach to learning, and it is important to foster the pursuit of success, reduce the fear of failure, and foster expectations of success. Achieving results again reinforces the motivation for achieving new results. The paper presents the results of a survey of students attitudes towards the use of information and communication technology in the teaching process and its impact on intrinsic and extrinsic motivation and creativity in teaching, as well as students' attitudes towards "online learning" or interactive teaching in which students are active recipients and knowledge makers.
