Sažetak
Differing circadian patterns and occurrence of external triggers suggest the association of sustained coronary occlusion with Q-wave acute myocardial infarction (AMI), and nonsustained occlusion with non-Q-wave AMI. Most of the differences in symptom presentation and in-hospital outcome between 2 AMI types are influenced by patients' preinfarction characteristics and greater area of Q-wave infarction.
