Croatian response to the coronavirus pandemic in the second month of crisis management is analysed. Wide-ranging human rights restrictions resulted in high economic costs. The author analyses political controversies related to government measures against the pandemic and costs of the crisis management. It is shown that public discourse in Croatia focuses on the contradiction between experts and politicians.
