The importance of digitizing the management processes of sports associations in the city of Zadar

Digital transformation is an opportunity and a challenge for associations, where a modern society is expected to adapt to the market and use modern infrastructure and tools through which associations offer their services and benefits to users. Communication in those processes represents the transfer of information, ideas, knowledge, results, mutual agreement, etc., or more precisely, it is one of the preconditions without which there is no work within the associations. The digitization process itself is a step in the process of delivering digitized content to users. The term digitalization also implies the use of digital technology to create new values in the work processes of an association and to change business models, thereby representing a process that leads to the overall digitization of the association’s work. In this paper, the research was conducted through a survey about the use of digital technologies in the administrative and management processes of associations, based on the example of the members of the Sports Association of the City of Zadar (SACZ). The questionnaire concluded that the associations aspire to use digital tools, that is, it was found that in the segment of administrative and management processes, members associations of the SACZ clearly lag behind modern standards, and only partly use modern tools in the training process. In response to the hypothesis, it was found that the associations do not sufficiently use information technology for the purposes of managing the administrative and management processes of the associations. Thus, there can be concluded that 71% of respondents believe it is necessary to enable the use of a modern e-application that integrates all management processes.
