Antun Karagić – Bunjevac što zasja između dva uta-mničenja (Svjedočenja iz časopisa Danica izdanih prije drugog svjetskog rata) .
The work of Antun Karagić, although probably lacking the quality of great literary texts, is beyond doubt one of the most important and honest attempts to preserve the tradition and national identity of Croatians in Hungary. His work is especially important in the field of dramaturgy. A. Karagić was both a successful playwright and a leading spirit of numerous local amateur acting groups. His work never went beyond the scope of the folk drama, but in spite of that, he was one of the most famous Croatian minority writers and often put on stage in Hungary and even in Zagreb. The proof of his success can also be found in the early issues of the Danica magazine. A. Karagić was the only writer whose texts were published in Danica between the two World Wars. These literary works, as well as his other texts and abundance of old photographs, are a valuable reminder of the vitality of the cultural presence of the Croatian minority in Hungary.
