Reticulinella fleuryi n. sp. (Foraminiferida) from the Upper Cretaceous (Upper Santonian--Middle Campanian) of the Island of Brač, Croatia
Reticulinella fleuryi n. sp. is characterized by an exoskeleton consisting of well developed primary transverse partitions, shorter transverse partitions, and moderately developed parallel partitions. The new species was found in shallow water limestone of the Island of Brač: in the highest levels of the Gornji Humac (Upper Santonian--Lower Campanian) and also in the Pučišća Formation (Rasotica and Lovrečina Units ; Lower--Middle Campanian). It occurs frequently in foraminiferal-peloidal packstone and wackestone, and rarely, in bioclastic packstone.
