Three decades after the transition from communism, Europeans be it "East" or "West" are challenged to deal not only with the legacy of division and separation, but with current dividing practices and polarization. The article explores the potentials of the "generation of transition" in overcoming division and the role of civic education in bridging between "East" and "West".
