Social Aspects of City Life in the War : Example of Croatia
In the paper the author analyses social behavior in Croatian cities caused by war effects. Next to great demographic shifts, she talks about new function of communal system, new formal and informal social links, social disintegration and social homogenisation, about socio-psychological problems, city pathology and general decline of quality of life. Her main hypothesis is that social homogenisation and specific behavior of a retrograde character, will, after the war, incrementally diminish. Normal social inequalities will take place again. Looking from today, the hypothesis proved to be right.
