Characterisation of aqueous solutions of ionic surface active agents by conductivity
Conductometry was used to determine properties of ionic surface active agents (SAA) in aqueous systems. Temperature dependency of conductivity of aqueous solutions of some anionic SAA was measured. Interpretation of data in low and high concentration region was performed below and above Krafft point. The analysis enabled evaluation of enthalpy and entropy of micelle dissociation and of solid phase dissolution. The Kraft temperature and critical micellization concentration were also obtained.
