Impact of valproate on a 3D-embryo-derived teratoma biological system in vitro

A three dymensional embryo-derived teratoma biological system in vitro, where tissue interactions are not as disrupted as they are during the establishment of two-dimensional (2D) cell cultures, has been used to investigate impact of extraneous agents such as epigenetic drugs or physical agents. Valproate may be proposed for therapy of teratomas in vivo and our biological system, completed by FTIR-investigation of metabolomes, as a screening system for anti-tumor and embryotoxic agents.
