Comparative Legal Report 2019: Report on the preliminary assessment of the national transposition measures of Directive 2014/50/EU

Directive 2014/50/EU on minimum requirements for enhancing worker mobility between Member States by improving the acquisition and preservation of supplementary pension rights came into force on 20 May 2014. Member States were obliged to transpose it by 21 May 2018. This report presents a comparative assessment of the national transposition measures. It is based on questionnaire replies by 32 MoveS national experts covering all EEA countries. The report summarizes the findings of the transposition situation in the Member States, identifies the common trends, the most frequent difficulties and problematic areas regarding personal scope, material scope, conditions governing the acquisition of pension rights and the preservation of dormant pension rights, the transferability of vested rights, as well as the provision of information.
