Influence of VA mycorrhiza on the growth and yield components of pickling cucumbers
VAM (vesicular arbuscular mycorrhiza) fungi are ubiquitous symbiont of many plant species, including most horticultural crops. Advantages of their application in vegetable crops production are specially expressed in vegetables grown from transplants. A significant increase in the weight of pickling cucumbers transplants was achieved in both cultivars (Levina, Furax) inoculated with VAM fungus Glomus etunicatum, but increase in the weight of marketable fruits was achieved only in cultivar Furax.
