Satellite-based positioning model as an optimisation problem solution
Satellite positioning can be understood as an optimisation problem. After a brief outline of the optimisation theory, this paper formulates the solution for satellite position estimation in manner of the optimisation theory application. Minimisation function is defined, along with a set of constraints, both related to satellite positioning variables. Paper concludes with a brief discussion of variants of the satellite position estimation solutions based on optimisation, and concludes with the outline of further research in utilisation of the mathematical formulation of satellite positioning problem in assessment of satellite positioning performance.
