Bioethical and Legal Challenges of Artificial Intelligence and Human Dignity
As was invoked by EU policy-makers, approach to artificial intelligence in EU should be based on fundamental rights and EU values. Far-reaching technological developments therefore should follow fundamental bioethical principle as set in the UNESCO Declaration on bioethics: Human dignity, human rights and fundamental freedoms are to be fully respected. In any case, bioethical standards should be applied, together with, if needed, new regional or international conventions or protocols to existing ones alongside national legislation that should set the common principles for the research, development andapplication of the AI.And here AI should be understood as in the EU Communication on AI112 and Guidelines.
