Usporedba elementne analize triju frakcija lebdećih čestica ED-XRF spektrometrijom

The measuring station at the Institute for Medical Research and Occupational Health (IMROH) is part of the local network for monitoring air quality in Zagreb. For many years at the monitoring station the following daily concentration of particulate matter fractions PM10, PM2.5 and PM1 were collected. During 2017, daily concentrations of particulate matter with an aerodynamic diameter less than 1 micron (PM1) and less than 2.5 microns (PM2.5) by gravimetric method were monitored. Measurement of daily concentration of particulate matter with an aerodynamic diameter less than 10 microns (PM10) was performed at the Bijenik station in the northern part of Zagreb city. After collecting and determining the mass concentration, analysis of determining the structure of the substance in a sample was carried out using XRF spectrometry. The paper presented the results obtained by XRF spectrometry for the elements iron (Fe), lead (Pb), copper (Cu), manganese (Mn) and titanium (Ti). The measured values of iron, lead, copper, manganese and titanium concentrations do not show an increase during the year and the mean annual values are very low. Air pollution by these elements is from a transport source for copper and most of the fuel used for heating and production of both thermal and electrical energy. In most elements higher concentrations are in PM10, except in the case of lead in which higher concentrations in several cases is recorded in the PM2.5.
