La base epistemologica della teoria della giustificazione rawlsiana
Federica Liveriero uses the concept of epistemic peers in order to justify the legitimacy of an equal voice, for each citizen, in public decision making. In the present article, doubts are raised that regard the utility of such a concept. It seems that all the work needed for the justification of the concept of legitimacy defended by Liveriero is founded mainly on political values and principles. Further, a doubt regarding circularity of justification with the employment of the concept of epistemic peers is addressed. It is offered an alternative model of defending the legitimacy of each citizen’s equal voice, where a crucial role is played by the epistemological concept of epistemic virtue.
