Proton elastic scattering from fluorine, chlorine, zinc, selenium and bromine in the energy region from 2.5 to 4.8 MeV

The determination of the composition of thin films by proton backscattering analysis requires accurate cross section database. In the proton energy region of 2.5-4.8 MeV, deviations from pure Rutherford cross sections become significant for many elements. Results for proton elastic scattering on F, Cl, Zn, Se and Br in this energy region are presented and discussed from the analytical point of view.
