The politics of skilled mobility in Europe – observations and comments
Mobility of services is one of the core principals on which the European Union is based. High-skilled mobility as a global migration trend has within the EU contributed to a perceived marginalisation both of new and of potential member states in CESEE. Still, also Western parts of the Union have been affected by profound structural changes and by brain drain similar to post-communist Europe. The contribution takes a look at developments in different regional settings and points both at the dangers but also the potential triple benefits of high-skilled labour mobility.
